The pictures you won’t see in the June Issue of Tucson Life Style Magazine Buzzing Around Bisbee!

This photo story  was about two girls on a road trip to Bisbee.

Bisbee is a great little getaway only 1.5 hours from Tucson with fun shops, interesting architecture and sites, music, and a cool laid back vibe for enjoying yourself without a lot of expectations.

We started at 6am and didn’t stop till 6pm!  The entire day was great because of the team I was working with!

Scott Barker, Editor of Tucson Lifestyle Magazine102Tom Spitz, Photographer047 Matthew Kauffman , Art Director Tucson Lifestyle Magazine048 Joseph Boldt, Photo Assistant104  The models:  Vanessa Baird, and Paige McGiffen. 079 OUCH!!!054 Bisbee is always a fun visit and the opportunity to do a photo shoot made the day quite an adventure!

The last shoot of the day was at the  Shady Dell Airstream Park.   I couldn’t help but reminisce  when I stayed there 18 years ago when it was $45.00 a night! I was booked in the  Spartan  Airstream004

To prepare for the success of the photo shoot I need to always visualize the outfits that will compliment the different “scenes”.  My job was also to create multiple looks using one base such as the dresses I chose and switch out accessories, add a jacket etc.  They worked out beautifully.IMG_1108 (1) Vintage Luggage that I had as props in my Store in California a zillion years ago!!!074

Flippin excited that Paige wore my Elvis dress!!!

IMG_1107 My instinct as a Stylist is to try on all the outfits the models will be wearing.  If I know it looks good on me I know it will look good on them.  IMG_1102The wardrobe and most props for the shoot were exclusively from my private collection. Having owned a Vintage Consignment Store Timeless in Palo Alto California  I have managed to hold on to quite a collection!FullSizeRender

008It was a great day as I expected.   The shoot ran smoothly and on time which doesn’t always happen.  We started out by the Fairgrounds to do the “car shoot”.  Notice the bangles Paige is wearing !!!099

You gotta love a guy who smiles while shlepping!

090Once the car shoot was completed we all jumped in our cars and caravanned to Bisbee to finish the story.

White Out

Wearing white is so sexy, fresh, and fashionable.  It is timeless.

I remember watching Love Story at least 30 years ago and seeing Ali Macgraw wearing a white tee and white shorts.

While on my last trip to Boston this display at Nordstroms caught my eye and inspired me

So can we all wear white ? No matter what shape or size we are?? No!!!

I say no immediately thinking about all my beautiful Autumn Palette clients.  A redhead does not wear white!  It bleaches her out, thus cream is her “white”

What I am talking about is warm vs cool in reference to colors that flatter you!

I also say  if you are a body type that is an apple, hourglass, or pear the rule of thumb would be to wear darker colors on the bottom.

Ann Taylor Black Fishnet Skirt, Handcrafted Rubber Tire Necklace, Rebecca Minkoff Snakeskin Heeled Sandals

A few additional tips to remember:

1.  Soccer Thighs or  Voluptuous Derriere- yes you can still wear white but…

Make sure the fabric is heavy and drapes beautifully.   Watch for  pockets that show the seams. That is a no no.   Also a cascading top floating past your vulnerable areas will be flattering and wear some heels!

057-spring-2015-trends-neutrals

2.  If you are top heavy rather than bottom heavy wear white on the bottom, darker colors on the top.  This will even you out.

I pinned this outfit on Pinterest at least a year ago and I continue to see it coming thru the stream.   I am not the only one noticing this amazing outfit!

shorts 17

I presented a “Shorts” workshop last year and this was one of the visuals.  If you don’t like your thigh area then wearing Bermudas will cover up and solve that problem.  By wearing a gorgeous ornate top not only does it distract from the bottom but brings attention up to your face.  This strategy would be a win win.  Dont forget to wear some heels.  If you are screaming at me now for that advice, perhaps a wedge?

Zara 2014.  Love a white suit!!!

Classic, Daring and Edgy– You have to have confidence to pull this off.  Notice the beautiful drape of the pants.
Drape in white pants is so elegant.  Ladies if you are tall  do your self a fashion favor and go get some drapey white pants!

Ladies if you are not tall, go get some ankle pants, heels and you can still rock the white pant suit look!

In conclusion wearing white psychologically makes us feel good. White represents cleansing and new beginnings White is innocent and pure . White adds and creates space. Putting on a white blouse feels like being given an opportunity to start the day with a clean slate

I think we can all relate to that vibe from time to time versus are dark friend  “black”.  In months to come  I will address the color black but for now white is right.

Chic Style with Slides

Slides can look Chic and Stylish!!  I just proved it to myself with my wardrobe and I had my doubts.  It is all about balance and proportion.   After selecting the clothes for these slides my conclusion was slides dictate a Sporty, Classical and Simple look.

How to wear a Checkered Blouse and not look like an Idiot

When a checkered blouse comes to mind you don’t think cool – as in outfit cool. You probably say no way ,  I am going to look like a picnic  tablecloth!  Second thought is the sightings of a checkered blouse either with denim or daisy dukes which we have all seen many times.  This results in a costume look and not stylish.daisy dukes

Currently checkered blouses are a Spring trend .   I personally love button down blouses and I think if paired correctly you too can pull off the checkered blouse.

A few rules to keep in mind.

1. Checkers are the focal point so tone everything else down. Don’t be matchy matchy.

2.All the shoes I selected are neutral.  All the shoes I selected were also edgy and stylish.  NO comfort Merrills in this scenario!!!    Or cowboy boots. NO NO NO!!

3. Don’t go for a relaxed look because you will look like you work on a farm.  Go for tight fitting pants or Straight Skirt or A line Skirt with Heels!

4. Selecting Denim is treading on the dangerous side, because of the stereotypes we all have seen for years.  Pass on it—

Go for a fresh Spring look and below are some examples I hope help!

The Phoenician, Three Dinner Dresses, and another Birthday

October in my opinion has the most beautiful weather of the year!  For those who live in Tucson, the 1.5 hour drive to Scottsdale/Phoenix is effortless and a wonderful getaway with a different vibe, great restaurants, shopping, sites. and incredible resorts during this season.  My favorite resort is the Phoenician Hotel.FullSizeRender (5)  It is so gorgeous with multiple pools, cabanas,021 walking trails, golfing, tennis, complimentary classes, world class spa, and  the grounds are breathtaking.014

FullSizeRender (6)015IMG_1205This particular weekend was a Birthday Celebration and upon check in, a bottle of Veuve Cliquot was sent to the room.  Thank you!!!FullSizeRender (3)

Along with relaxing by the pool and people watching I enjoyed the Spa with a massage including Steam and Jacuzzi. IMG_1206 I also took advantage of some complimentary classes which consisted of Meditation, Aqua Aerobics, and the best was a Smart Phone Photography class.  Wow!  I learned so much from that class, the teacher was fantastic.FullSizeRender (7)

In the evening we ventured out to some local restaurants and they all received the two thumbs up by me.  I am a tough critic!   Half of the fun of going out to nice restaurants is dressing up!  I did not hold back, and enjoyed wearing sexy, fun dresses and eye catching accessories.  Red Lipstick accompanied them all.

Below is a Michael Kors Slip Dress,Eileen Fisher Bolero Sweater, Vintage Jet Beads, Via Spiga Heeled Sandals011

Crudo was our first dinner spot.  A cool vibe, it felt very local and relaxed. crudo-pics-loomis-030 They specialize in Mixology cocktails which is always fun and to have your cocktail served in a champagne coupe is always beautiful and sophisticated.FullSizeRender (4)  Presentation counts.   On the flip side to that my entree was Steamed Salmon with Celery Root Puree which arrived in a plastic bag on my plate and I asked myself ” what is this?”  Well once they cut the bag open and I took the  first bite I  completely forgot about the “un-Presentation”  It was delicious, buttery and tender.  My husband ordered the Brisket and we both agreed it was the best Brisket we have ever tasted.  Dessert consisted of wrapped chocolates on our pillows.

Below is French Connection Fleur Silk  Dress, J Crew Earrings, Stuart Weitzman Pink Sandals

032The second evening started at  The Henry, a Fox Concept restaurant. The Henry had a cool vibe, interesting decor and was packed.  I like being in a restaurant with energy and people having fun.  We enjoyed Grey Goose Martini’s and shared the Avocado Radish Toast on  grilled bread.  Yum yum, I am going to make my own version at home.  We then headed to Virtu a small restaurant in Old Town and it was amazing. FullSizeRendervirtu We sat at the bar and enjoyed talking with the staff.  My cocktail was delicious and so memorable with Champagne Foam on top!  It really tasted like champagne!  We shared Charred Octopus with Fennel, Arugula, Lemon Chick Peas and Calabrese Chile Butter.   Next was Frisee and Brussel Sprout Salad with Roasted Cinnamon Carrots and  Bacon Candy.  The entree was Gnudi, a pasta-like dumpling with a unique ricotta filling. Gnudi, also known as the naked gnocchi, can be best described as little puffs of clouds on your tongue.Gnudi  I have never had gnudi and now I am ruined for life because nothing compares to this delicacy.  Virtu was so delicious I could see myself driving from Tucson  to Scottsdale just for dinner!

It was such a lovely weekend in Scottsdale doing all the things I love to do.  As a Libra I need to be surrounded by beauty and that is exactly what the weekend was all about.  The Birthday celebration didn’t end in Scottsdale.  I enjoyed one more wonderful evening out at Reilly’s Craft Pizza in Tucson with friends. The  Roasted Brussel Sprouts, Cavatelli and Boudini are repeats all the time.  Delicious!  Ahh another opportunity to dress up and dine out. I love the good life!!!!  A prelude to the big 50 next year—–

What to Wear, Packing Strategies for a Luxury Getaway Weekend

When anticipating a luxurious spa weekend at The Mission Inn Hotel and Spa in Riverside one must pack with careful thought. Two words:  Relaxed Glamour!073

Bring comfortable clothes but also add a  little exotic,  a little flashy, a little sense of escapism. Accessories can play a huge part to this plan.002

Zara Prada wanna be Sparkly Strappy Flip flops-  These were so fun and worked with so many outfits.

013

The getaway defines you are in need of an escape, along with relaxation, rejuvenation, and taking good care of yourself.

I always say when you look good you feel good.  The luxury spa wardrobe isn’t so much about image but rather wearing clothes that make you feel good, pretty, and comfortable .   If you know you are going to be surrounded by beauty you want to partake in that beauty also. I did just that as I strategically packed for my luxurious spa weekend.050The airplane outfit is for entering and exiting the getaway.  This Zara Ivory jacket is a soft cotton, so it  won’t wrinkle.  The shoes from Talbot’s are neutral and will have multiple uses, they are also comfortable with the chunk high heel. I plan on wearing this outfit to dinner when I arrive, so the  earrings will be my Glamour Accessory.

014

My LongChamps Messenger Black Bag has been my go to travel bag for the past 20 years.  I just  replaced my original one and luckily I was able to purchase the same one on ebay. I am set for another 20 years!

016

I always prepare my own gourmet lunch, I never settle for Airport food unless it is complete desperate measures . My lunch consisted of a grilled radicchio, goat cheese and prosciutto sandwich on Walnut Bread.  As a travel staple I also usually bring fresh fruit and Stuffed dates with Pecans and Manchego Cheese.  Espresso candies are always in my purse.002

003

The Pool outfit consists of a basic J Crew black bikini with fabulous baubles. I chose black because it is versatile and coordinate with my cover ups and tote very well.

044

Coverups– I like to bring two

048

047 Tote for poolside items .  Banana Republic Multi Stripe tote, Kate Spade Sunglasses with 2.5 Reading lens,  Detangler Travel Spray for my frizzy hair, Sublime Spray Oil with SPF 15 (love this product) neutrogena lip balm, Aqua Sphere Goggles, swimcap, reading material . And of course the Iphone!

021

The Missoni beauty bag is for beauty and hair  products. Since this is a Water related trip I specifically brought Makeup Forever waterproof eyebrow color, and Aqua Eyeshadow sticks along with L’oreal Waterproof Mascara.  Clarins Eau Dynamisante is a fresh clean fragrance that I have enjoyed for years and no one seems to be offended by the scent in a public situation.

008

Spa outfit:  In addition to my fun flip flops I layered a tissue white tee, with a cami and on the bottom I  wore my Eileen Fisher Brown Cotton Pants.  Comfy!027

The spa was phenomenal, I booked quite a few services and enjoyed every minute of them. The Scalp Massage and Foot Reflexology were to die for.

091

Exploring outfit: The hotel provided 1.5  walking history tours, and it was marvelous learning about the rich history of the hotel. Two thumbs up! Vince Blue Cotton Boatneck Tee ( protecting my decollete), Ann Taylor Navy Shorts, Multiple Necklace Strands

I didn’t want to bring my Messenger bag to dinner so I used my super fun Kate Spade Clutch.014

I had always wanted to visit and thanks for livingsocial  offering a special, it reminded me to go!  I ended up not purchasing the livingsocial package because I wanted something better than a standard room,  I  wanted something with architectural aspects.040

Handcrafted furniture, this particular chair was made for President Taft due to his large frame and he was insulted when asked to sit in it. 120Statues : St Francis of Assisi 116114 And the list goes on. There were even two Macaws named Napoleon and Josephine that greeted all the guests at the entrance. The original owner and wife possessed Macaws with the same name and the tradition lives on.048 There was no stopping Frank Miller the eclectic genius with the vision to create a mission influenced style hotel at the time in 1901 when it was unheard of. 066 High influential friends such as Rockefeller  President Taft, Louis C Tiffany and many others supported the project.022

As times changed, the economy had fallen, the hotel suffered and as a result went into foreclosure in the 70s.  A shuffling of owners tried their stake at managing a grand hotel but it wasn’t until Duane Roberts purchased the hotel and restored the hotel in all its glory from the past adding modern amenities which included a world class spa which his wife manages, Kelly’s Spa.

The pool scene was like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. 045 On Saturday the scene was a  crazy packed party, definitely  W Hotel Vegas vibe.   A  mixed bag of guests from head to toe tattooed men and women, to a 10+ gay men scene sipping daiquiris  and overtaking lounge chairs and tables,  to a bachelorette party,  to a girls spa weekend, screaming children, and  locals enjoying their stay cation.  It was a feast of flesh no doubt. Sunday on the other hand  was spa living.  I guess all the above checked out so it was quite and peaceful. Even the children were quiet! I preferred this vibe to Saturday’s vibe. I even had enough room in the pool to swim laps and read by the pool.

The dining highlight was  sitting in the courtyard on a perfect summer evening. Soaking up the view  looking up and seeing the arches, corridors and cascading bougainvillea .  I ordered crab cakes and a martini and just took my sweet time.  Ahhh125

Saying  goodbye to this amazing place was truly difficult.  I wanted to stay longer  and wasn’t ready to head back to reality just quite yet.    But all good things must come to an end as super shuttle picked me up and the trek home began.

I wore  clothes that presented a confident image because with certainty you never know who your going to meet and sit next to on the plane. Be ready at all times!  036035Turned out a lovely woman joined my isle and  it ended up she was visiting her sister in Tucson who was looking for a personal shopper! Yes!! Help is on the way with Ten Outfits, my business.

The trip started as a spa weekend and ended up as a business write off. Not bad.

Plenty of Reasons to Travel Alone to Chicago

083I Love Chicago and I decided to treat myself to a solo trip so I could do whatever I wanted to do, whenever and for ever how long! I also wanted the challenge of navigating the city by myself and be self sufficient since I have the luxury of my husband to always figure out maps, subways, flight status, have a dining companion ect.  I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone and see what would happen.

I did just fine and even returned home with a little more confidence!

Here are some of the highlights:

Before we get going I was proud I packed a carry on and limited shoes! Stuart Weitzman Laser Cut Black Boots, Paul Green Baseball Shoe , Calvin Klein Black Patent Mid Heel Pump, Cole Haan Track shoes, Franco Sarto Olive Boots(shown with Pink Coat below).002

I could of taken a $60.00 taxi into the city but I decided to be brave and save money and go underground and take the  train(orange line)  and transfer to the red line to get to my hotel the Talbot.  Success ! Total cost $3.50 I really do love public transportation.

The Talbot Hotel is a beautiful little boutique hotel located in the Gold Coast  district. 038 Great neighborhood with lots of  shopping, cafes, restaurants and good people watching. 021 On a side note Molton Brown amenities were lined up like little soldiers in the bathroom for me!   Ahhh luxury.

First stop Barney’s New York, 3 minutes from the Hotel.  Since I am deprived living in Tucson with limited shopping and being a Wardrobe Consultant it was imperative for me to get inspired for  Fall Fashion and what better way than to start at Barney’s. After cruising each floor and delightfully taking it all in I headed up to Fred’s, located in Barneys. Fred’s is a great place to dine alone at the comfy bar and chat with the bartender while enjoying complimentary cut fries with Aioli and sipping on a well deserved Martini with Blue Cheese Olives.photo 1  I continued my indulging with Steak Carpaccio and Arugula Salad.  Back to the hotel on off to bed.

Day 2.
Another perk staying at the Talbot is a complimentary pass to Equinox, which is located 1 block away.  So I started my day with a Restorative Yoga Class, followed by a Mat Pilates Class.  Both great and I learned some new things

Being a Saturday I struggled with the masses on Michigan Ave, so I got off the beaten path and headed to Bella Bacino’s,  a favorite lunch spot I have frequented many times. There was a spot for me at the bar and  I enjoyed wine, a baby baccini 6 inch deep dish pizza made from scratch and salad. 035  It was worth the 30 minute wait in which time it takes to make the pizza.  The Bartender was  generous with refilling my wine.  Why does that happen to me so often?.  I try to be good!

Shopped on Michigan Avenue, the Magnificent Mile, which showcased beautiful fall flower displays on the promenade,  and Street Entertainers pleasing the crowds.008.photo (8)010 I visited  Zara, Saks, Neiman Marcus ,Kate spade, Max Mara, Jimmy Choo, Prada, and  Van Cleef and Arpel. photo (7)photo (6) I splurged and purchased Prada Baroque glasses,Kate Spade reading glasses. Lingerie from Neiman Marcus, and tops from Zara. Love!!!011

Returned to the Hotel for a Power nap before I ventured off to the Chicago Symphony.  I wore a Black satin dress, Vintage brooch, Black opera gloves, Black laser cut out boots from  Stuart Weitzman, J Crew hot pink coat, and  black fur trim.photo (14) I really do love the opportunity to wear fur and I have acquired many fur items from Vintage Stores in the past years.  I would never buy “new” fur.

.
The Symphony Hall was beautiful and I was so excited as I was led to my seat which was a Box seat, OMG what a great view!. The performance was excellent with the highlight being Claude Debussy’s La Mer, one of my favorites.photo (15)

Quick cab back to the hotel and I was off walking to Le Colonial,  Vietnamese Cuisine one block away. The beauty of good location when picking your hotel. The late nite supper was delicious.

Day 3

Art Institute of Chicago. I wore black Zara  stretch pants,  French Connection dark green sparkle top, Talbots grey wool jacket,  and my Franco Sarto olive boots which were quite durable and comfortable throughout the trip.

I am in my world, enough said015

013I attended Media Makeup School in Chicago last year to become a certified makeup artist to enhance my business and Bernadette was also a student there. Bernadette met me at the museum and  we had the best day together.  We took a walking tour thru the museum with our lovely guide Paula .  She was an excellent docent always kept us wanting more!

Below are  some of my favorite paintings and sculptures I saw

017

018157Another reason to travel alone is to indulge in a full day of the museum without someone (my husband) falling asleep on a bench and wants to leave after one exhibit!!!  This was picture was taken our last visit!122Lunch at Terzo, the museum restaurant  with Bernadette was fabulous. We devoured shrimp cakes with lobster hollandaise, and arugula, and washed it down with a beautiful Rose.  Not to mention it was so fun to catch up with my friend from makeup school!

020

Took the public bus back to the  hotel, Starbucks on the  corner, relaxed in my room.

Pump Room.   Best dining experience in Chicago for me   Sunday is dead for diners so it was, perfect for solo woman diner.    Back in the day The Ambassador Hotel was a historic hotel visited by many celebrities and jet sets  who went to have a libation and relax at  the famous Pump Room.

024025Since my last visit to Chicago, The Ambassador was bought out  and it is now the Public Hotel. The  Pump room still exists but has completely transformed. Jean George Vongerichten runs the kitchen now and thank god for that.  My meal was to die for. Roasted fennel w olives and lemon, followed by031 bow tie pasta the size of an actual man’s bow tie with house lamb meatballs.  I  washed it all  down with a luscious Pinot Noir.  The staff was great, cool vibe, no hassles.029  Walked home on rush street window gazing at Chanel, Marc jacobs,037 photo (4)Hermes, and heard the clickity clack of  horse carriages in the street while gentle showers were coming down.  A definite smile inside and out.035

Day 4.

It is cold at 45 vs. high 50,s the previous days so  I got to wear my Canadian fur hat!photo (3)

Rise and shine  Equinox!  Attempted ultimate black dress workout and failed. Too much on my knees. Then headed to the pool to swim laps, and did a water workout with the seniors followed by a Steam Bath. It was fun.

Lunch at Pierrot Gourmet,a cozy spot in  the Peninsula hotel .  With the chill in the air I ordered french onion soup, grilled tuna melt , salad and Rose to balance the appetite.  photo (10) Very good and I refrained from the baked goods in the glass case as I left!

Off to Ikram ,a high end boutique. photo (9)  Interesting items, lots of designer but  to stuffy for me and the racks were packed. I really couldn’t looked if I wanted to.

Back to Zara, to purchase a great blue bag that  looks like Victoria Beckham without the price tag and a cropped black top, my new favorite! The blue bag was big enough for the extra loot I was bringing home.

Headed to the Contemporary Museum of Art store, a friends recommendation and she was right it was cool.photo (11) I bought black flower rings at $5.95 a pop bargain in Chicago.  Back to the  hotel for yet another rest and nap.

A little rest does a power shopper good because i was energized and off to do some damage at Barney’s. A necklace caught my eye two days ago and I decided to go for it.  Very basic I  think I will get a lot of use out of it. I really like it and shopping is what this trip was about!

Fred’s, the last supper! A martini with french fries followed by cavatelli pasta with house made sausage and kale in a garlic broth and parmesan. Delicious!  Fred’s was pretty dead but that was a plus no man repellant needed!

A little window shopping on Oak street and back to the room to pack it all up.

What I took home with me besides my shopping splurges :

More confidence to be on my own

Want to dress better and wear fur as an accessory I am going for it this season, look out Tucson!

Be the stylish person I truly want to be

I cant seem to walk around like I use to because of my knees, and hips, bummer
I love to escape reality!!!!!

Ten Spring Trends that Tucsonans will Love

This Spring the Fashion Trends include the Good, the Bad and the Ugly!  I was inspired with so many beautiful looks that  I am showcasing the Good, with specific detail to the needs of those who live in the Desert, Tucson Arizona.   I consistently hear the challenges Tucsonans face when approaching their wardrobes with the heat, sweat, and sun to deal with.   My job as a Wardrobe Consultant is to tackle these needs and provide my clients with options and alternatives in which they can maintain a stylish wardrobe, be comfortable and feel great without breaking the bank.  I always suggest Pinterest Inspiration Boards or Binders for which they can use to “see ” a great look and then modify to their own comfort zone.   Below are the “Inspirations of Spring Trends”

1.  Bermuda Shorts:  Classic and Cover the Upper Thigh, in other words no more daisy dukes.

2. Black and White: How easy can this be?   Wearing Black and White will always be sharp, chic, and dramatic.  If you have blonde hair go for the white on top, brunettes- try for black on top. Redheads- go for cream on top, black on bottom.

3. Peek a Boo, and  Lingerie by Day    Peek a Boo is a little tease with a sheer blouse, sheer jacket, laser cuts in the clothes.  Thinking of playing it safe?  Think again.

4. Statement Accessories: OMG Look at that!  Prada comes to mind a couple of seasons ago with the Baroque Sunglasses.  I happen to have a knock off pair and they are so fun around the pool!  Not only are sunglasses outrageous, but also handbags, jewelry, and shoes.  Have fun and don’t be afraid to stand out!

5. Stripes:  With Denim= All American, With Navy= Nautical, With Florals= Daring, With White Jeans= Star Power- think Jackie O, or Ali MacGraw.  Keep in mind the size of your stripes and where they are placed on your body!  Never follow a trend if it doesn’t flatter your body type.

6.  Short Suits:  I have always loved a Short Suit,  perfect for Tucson!  Dressed up without the extra fabric to overheat.  How is your relationship with your legs these days?  Variety of Lengths in Shorts gives us all an opportunity to pull this look off, and the more fabulous your shoes are the more fabulous your outfit will look!  Simple tanks and accessories finish the look.

7. Flats and Low Heels (Loud Applause Please!!!!)  When working with clients if we are going to argue it usually has to do with shoes and heel height.  I lean towards a higher heel but this Spring the Gods are not in my favor and low heels and flats are on the catwalk.  J Crew Ballet Flats are not going away EVER!

8.  Ruffles –    When done in moderation I give them two thumbs up!  I particularly like the blouse below because it is framing her face.

9.  Wrap it up!  Diane von Furstenberg is our fearless leader for this trend.  She created the “wrap dress” which is a homerun in terms of fit and flatter to all body types. This Spring check for skirts also.

10. Tie it up-   This trend accentuates the waistline and gives balance to the body and makes you look thinner!!!
